The syringe and needle tutorial will cover this, and we’ll add a cross-reference – release does look a bit clumsy, but this was “take 24″ ! We will try again when we next have a series of rat ivs

We’ll leave this for now, but could reshoot when using a warming chamber, as Mark says, its necessary to have the rat on the edge of the table in order to warm the tail in a water beaker

Is it necessary for the restraint tube to be so close to the edge of the table?; the rat backs out of the tube quickly and there is a risk it could fall to the floor! Should this be re-shot? [Isn’t this to facilitate warming of the tail? – MP]

When the commentary refers to the bevel – will everyone know that this means with the open part upwards and the sharp point closest to the vein?
In the film, I think it would be better if the restraining tube was moved properly onto the table before the rat is released. Release looks a bit clumsy.

From Paul F and Jon – We think we should advise 15 for rat and 5 from mouse, not 30 mins for each (as in voiceover) – any views on this (Ken, Mark?)
